Successful Learners

A Students Tool Kit

Enabling all children and young people to become successful learners is a key aim of Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence.

Successful Learners is a programme for schools which enables young people to explore some of the ideas associated with learning.

The films in this series explain key concepts and offer tips and advice on how to become a better learner.  Each film is accompanied by tasks and activities that help students to develop skills for learning - not only at school, but throughout their lives. The Student’s Toolkit enables learners to:

  • Think about and reflect on ways that they learn
  • Identify strengths as well as barriers to learning
  • Set learning targets and personal goals
  • Develop key learning skills
  • Perform well in tests and exams

For more information about the individual films click here.
